Pipping down the lane from Daddy's house first signs of Spring in the thigh-deep pool at the garden center tadpoles grey and fat youngsters still with their tails green as metal bullfrog deep and melodious snakes have to eat too – but not my Froggy! Finned feet extended, hunched up on the rusty spigot, sitting with his chin on his hands in the mounted flowerpot, asleep in the single pink rose Green as Eden the voice sac puffed out the eyes unblinking plopping into the pond, handfulls of them scared off the waterplants, in the greenhouse clinging to a wall, hiding in a plant...
