I have no idea what this lovely vine is. It grows on the fence between Patrick's yard and his neighbor's, and was photographed Oct 15, 2003.
My friend Patrick lives in Oklahoma. I try to get out there once a year to visit him. Mostly we listen to music, watch movies, argue about poetry, and talk about my deathless prose, in this very room where I photographed him with his statue of Quan Yin the Merciful.
I have no idea what this lovely vine is. It grows on the fence between Patrick's yard and his neighbor's, and was photographed Oct 15, 2003.
Patrick was kind enough to take me for a drive around the nearest lake, with many stops to look for pelicans. We had a perfect day for it, comfortably warm, breezy, and bright, and we even saw some pelicans . I enjoyed them enormously but they're wary birds and I couldn't get close enough to get a recognizable picture. Luckily, the lake itself didn't run away from me.
